PROJECT OVER VIEW: Summerhill Station is one of the station integrated into the TTC’s Easier Access Program to make subway stations accessible had several challenges.  DyMont Engineering has designed the shoring system with several levels of strut & waler support system.  Structural analysis of the existing TTC tunnel was perform by DyMont Engineering to ensure structural integrity of the Existing TTC tunnel is maintained during construction due to unbalanced earth pressures.  This design-build project was a collaboration between TTC staff, consultant team, general contractor and Iron Shoring Inc as the lead trade for this work.
